Varne
Ridge lays just back from the North Downs which extends along the
south-east coastline, so why not visit our park and give yourselves a
treat?
There is no bar or any other facility
likely to cause a nuisance, but if it's life and restaurants that
interest you, there are many varied and interesting places to visit all
within a 25-mile radius, including Calais and Boulogne-sur-Mer, so it
would be advisable to bring your passports just in case you want to
indulge yourselves in a bit of cross channel shopping.
Varne Ridge often plays
host to distance swimmers from all over the
world who come to England in the hope of swimming the English Channel.
The Channel is one, or if not, the most difficult swim in the world, making it
the Mecca for all distance swimmers and their "Mount Everest", having more
failures than success.
If
you are looking for spectacular panoramic views together with tranquil
cliff-top walks or cycling on the designated paths over the North Downs,
observe nature and wildlife in all its glory - then you have found that
place for you. On a sunny day you could be anywhere in the world -
it's beautiful!
